"When I started out, we were serving our customers on the sidewalk. As the winter was looming I knew we would have to move inside but was financially unable to make the changes I needed. When I applied for the grant and got some help I quickly contacted my trades and set to work on organizing everything to happen when we were closed in November. Normally this would be our vacation week but we decided to make this our transition week. We had the restaurant painted and the floors refinished so the project would get a fresh new look. Then in November our new counter arrived and we set to work on getting signs, carpets and all the accessories to get the new space ready. Our fridge was the final part of the project that we needed but it was back ordered. Once it arrived I hired a new employee to help fill the fridge with grab and go items. What a success that was. So many customers were so happy to be able to buy their favourite items and add them to their pick up orders."
